Meet Naomi, a budding 14-year-old art prodigy, accompanied by her father, Iván Darío, originating from the vibrant city of Medellin in Colombia. Their global journey has brought them to CoCo Bongo Hostel, a space where artists of diverse backgrounds and experience levels adorn our walls with magnificent murals. While seasoned artists contribute outstanding pieces, we also cherish and encourage newcomers exploring their artistic talents.
Naomi, deeply passionate about sketching, had yet to venture into the realm of mural painting. Excited by the prospect, we provided her with a modest space to experiment, witnessing her innate talent unfold remarkably. Encouraged by her initial success, we presented her with a more significant challenge, offering a larger canvas to explore and express her creativity. With guidance and support from her father, Naomi transformed this expanded canvas into an awe-inspiring masterpiece.
Naomi’s fascination with drawing dragons became the cornerstone of her latest creation. CoCo Bongo had recently delved into the captivating story of the Koi Dragons Gate, featuring a dragon atop a majestic waterfall. Our curiosity piqued as we wondered how Naomi would portray the transition from koi fish to the mythical dragon in her artwork. Her interpretation astounded us all, seamlessly blending the elegance of the koi into the majestic form of the dragon.
We invite you to behold Naomi’s exceptional talent and share your thoughts on her incredible artwork. It’s a testament to the nurturing environment here at CoCo Bongo, where aspiring artists are encouraged to explore their potential and create captivating stories through their art.
